CHANEL PRESENTS J-12 MOONPHASE
At Chanel, as we do not refuse anything, we decided this year to offer the moon to its customers, nothing less. There was a fresh breath, almost wintery yesterday, in the walls of the rue Cambon for the presentation of the new declension of the famous watch J12.
The latter is adorned with a cloud of comets and goes to the bottom of the space to find a phase of the moon that it implements in the heart of its iconic dial. Continuing to spin the well-known metaphor of ceramics as a precious metal, J12 knows how to reinvent itself without losing itself, this is the secret of a watchmaker who has made innovation a signature.
Ten years ago, Chanel J12, developing ceramic timepieces, imposed not only the material but also its chromium, white, black and gray in the pantheon of contemporary watchmaking. Today, the Moonphase collection proves that one can play both the map of aesthetic refinement and that of technical excellence.
What to delight, with more sophisticated watches (declined here in all versions of the collection), amateurs but especially watch enthusiasts. It is in fact traditionally the women who take this complication of moon phase, presented here not in a classical window, but on a disc in aventurine blue deep and spangled as the celestial vault. This will open up even more the field of the infinite possibilities of the J12 and its evolutions to come.
